a few years ago we went on a safari trip to Africa. we were there for a month and we travelled from camp to camp and lived in tents and stuff. the best experience ever. we got to see all sorts of wildlife and we were immersed in african culture as opposed to going to 5 star hotels and such. the only bad experience was taking larium (a malaria pill) because the canadian government didn't test it proprely and it fucked my mom's and my livers. and we were hospitalized for a bit, etc. now there's this huge lawsuit against the company tha tmakes larium because supposedly british and canadian soldiers stationed in east africa a few years previous to our trip suffered the same reactions to the medication.
we went to kenya, tanzania and we even went to Rwanda..which was kinda surreal cuz at the time, Rwanda was going through their civil war. -s. |

i'd really like to do that driving across canada thing someone mentioned before.. nothing like getting to know your own country better. maybe go back through the states..
i'd really like to visit Brazil, Berlin, Frankfurt, India, Australia, Prague (surprised no one's mentioned this last one.. most people i've met that have backpacked throughout europe say it's their best (and cheapest) experience) Last edited by QuanNeur; Apr 13, 03 at 11:47 PM. |
