mine's initials too... Da Fuckin Leet Tru Rydah
or not. it'd be cool to have an icy hot stunta style name though. my name's actually a product of rampant and unabashed geekiness... here's an explanation of my name in a big evil run-on sentence: dfltr is a short version of dfltrmous which is a short version of deflator mouse which is the name of a character from the tick who was a take off of batman so they named him a variant of die fleidermaus which is a symphony by bach that translated into english means "the bat" hence the creators of the tick are geniuses (obscure reference to batman through a ninteenth century german composer? geek radness factor: high) so i gave them props by calling myself dfltr. as a side note, it was a complete fucking travesty that Fox decided to rename Deflator Mouse for their shitty live action version of The Tick. honestly, Batmanuel? where's the subtlety in that? stupid yanks. |

My name on here comes from my passion... surfing.
Waimea Bay is a spot on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii. Most of the year its a gorgeous calm bay good for swimming and snorkeling. In the winter (when I was there) its a lot different though. If it gets to a certain height the wave closes out the entire bay and theres no way to get out. So to end this rant I was trying to paddle out through the nasty shorebreak just to take a look at the 30 + foot waves breaking on the reef, and a monster wave came from nowhere and closed out the bay. I got absolutely worked and punded by one wave after another. I was panicking like crazy swallowing lots of water and continuously being dragged under water. All I remember after that was somehow ending up on the shore throwing up what felt like half the ocean. Much respect to the awesome power and energy there, so I borrowed the name. Here's a pic of a solid swell at waimea. The day I was referring to above was very similair |
