Nothing I can really recommend myself but...I know www.zdnet.com often has lots of reviews and comparative articles and such...may be worth a search...

The one that Peter has is $400 bones. It's a tiny camera and pictures come out clear. Sean, I have a Canon Powershot A-200 I bought it for $375 just under 7 months ago and I'm selling it for $275. I still have the original box with most of its contents (except for the driver disks, but you can d/ling that off the website). All you need to do is purchase a bigger memory card.
More Information on the camera here. If your interested, you know the digits. This is a great entry level camera. ~Tim |

if you're looking for a workhorse, the Creative PC-Cam series is sweet. combo web/digi cams. the picture quality is decent, pretty much what you'd expect from a low end digicam. the 750 is only a few hundred and will take care of all your snapshot needs.
it's also good to tide you over until you want a real camera (if you eventually want one). i'm saving up for a Sony F717... so tender. so sweet. so burly. |
