it's too bad that it was your friend and not you, because as far as the staff is concerned they think it was you, and you're probably not going to be allowed back in. considering that you dragged your friend down your best chance is to accept responsibility for HIS actions. unfortunately for you, accepting responsibility will most likely involve picking up the tab for the mirrors, which will come out somewhere around $200. they're sending me the bill, which i'd be happy to pass along to you.

mark gets paid to be a bit of an asshole, all of the rest of the staff are some of the most friendly and down to earth people i've ever dealt with in the club scene, and i've been around for a LOOOOONG time. the reason that mark is a bit of an asshole is the whole good cop/bad cop thing. that said, he almost never resorts to violence. most bouncers can't figure out how to deal with someone with their mouths first and fists second. if you treat him with respect and don't back talk you'll do fine. if you come up to the door and start to argue with him you're done for.

anyways, i respect the fact that you came on here to discuss this instead of just denying it and ignoring it, you didn't have to do that, i made a point of not singling you out. but until you make this right you're not going to be welcome down there.

^The point is, the Lotus staff think it's Ash, and if she wants to be allowed back in, she should make her friend take responsibility for his actions.

If he's a good friend, he'll pay the $200 for the glass, because he knows how much being there means to her. If not, she's fucked.

ash, sorry, the reply above wasn't in response to you. what i'll say is that as of the moment the staff there thinks you did it. whether they're right or wrong (and if you read back through the whole thing you'll see that i've never accused you by name of doing it) the point is is that you're going to have to do some explaining before you'll be allowed back in.

you're going to have to go to mark the bouncer, sincerely apologise, and tell him what happened, and let him know who did it and that that person will never be coming back to the club. you're going to have to do this without any attitude, and you're going to have to listen politely and not talk back AT ALL, even if he yells at you, even if he's an asshole, if you want to be able to come back in you're just going to have to take it. from personal experience i know that if you try and argue with him it's not going to go well with you.

as for the damage, i think that if you're do this in a polite and respectful manner you won't have to worry about it.

if you fuck this up though, you're gone, and i'm sorry if you think i'm being harsh, but this has very little to do with me, it's not "my call" (though i can ban anyone i want at anytime for any reason, i've never had to do it so far) i just know that this is the only way you'll get back in.

it'd also be nice if you manage to get back in if you'd come talk to me about it too.

First of all, spell the name right.

Second of all, they DO know who did it(or think they do), and yeah, okay, it isn't Ash, but it's her friend. She brought him, now she has to make him pay for his mistake. Flat out.

If he IS a good friend, he'll take responsiblity. And if he's not(at the risk of sounding like a broken record), she's fucked.

Third, Seeing as they DO have a suspect, they have every right to take resonable action. Banning the suspect is perfectly resonable in my eyes. It could very possibly save them more money in cleaning and replacement in the future.

Plus, if you actually think about it, if more than one person "saw" Ash tag/etch/whatever, it's probably better for her to NOT be able to go back. They could charge her with vandalism. I'm not saying it's right, but really, if they charge her, who's "the man" going to believe? A 19 y.o. jungalist, or the bouncers at a club?
