Many years ago in land as far away as downtown - you kids would have been the anomolies at a rave party
they were filled with a slightly older twenty something crowd of dedicated club head and hippies. When raving wasn't at the plaza the crowd was older and its gotten younger and that's cool - but don't be so schocked to hear about it and see it - Raving isn't underground and teachers are humans, humans that are in contact with kiddies all day long - they hear things. I think it would be more shocking if you saw them at some fetish party or at a 'kegger' guzzling down beer. I don't know how old your teachers are but in 97 when I graduated there were several youngish teachers that were rave regulars - and many of my english T.As in university partook in the festivities also. And Tribecca isn't underground either - its a nice trendy restaurant where people go for brunch and birthdays, I am totally not surprised the beats enchanted an art teacher - are you? Jingles |

^^^not one bit and i do understand that teachers are humans with a social life as well. we actually popped in a dimitri cd today and listened it during art class. i think its the whole relationship that shakes a few of us up. to us our relationship with teachers are strictly... he/she teaches and we obey. throughout grade 1-12 its been like that, so we think they're somewhat more superior than us..and seeing our teacher at a place where i would just "hang out" over the weekend is just a little strange. im totally cool with it though.. as long as my teacher aint injectin heroin in front of me im cool with it. especially art teachers.. i know mine always go to commodore events and they have a huge passion for music. totally respectable.
its the same with co-workers etc.. you build a professional relationship with them and it gets so serious that you dont expect anyone to be a party animal.. but then again you have to remember everyone's allowed to have a good time. |
