My timeline from Canadian Idol and the results...
April 21, 4pm -+> Take up residence in front of the Library, across the street from the Harbour Dance Centre
4pm - 12am April 22 -+> Various socializing 12am - 5am -+> Very, very, very, VERY broken sleep. On brick. With cars driving by and honking incessantly(Cold air is also very bad for one's voice...). 5am - 6am -+> Cleanup of the tarp city 6am - 8am -+> Preparing to be let into the HDC. Given wristbands. Shuffled across Homer St. 8am -+> Registration 8:15am - 12:35pm -+> Waiting for my number to be called. Realization that I'm losing my voice from being in the cold all night. 12:35pm -+> My number is called to audition. 12:50pm -+> Booted off the Canadian Idol island. Yeah. I sang The Rose, to the best of my ability. But even if I had made it to the next level of Auditions, I would have lost my voice to the point that I wouldn't have been able to sing anyways. I'll try again next time, but I'll get someone else to hold my space in line so I can sleep in a hotel and save my voice. =P

It's all done Ash...The Metro thing was last Saturday, and all it did was give the person who won an automatic audition today.
And they finished the registration today too, 2500 people later.

that's crazy that you slept on the street...show's how much you care though! yea for sure get someone to hold you a spot in line next time. you should be proud! p.s.-did the auditions take just today or are they going on until tomorrow cause a bunch of people i know are there!

You can't register anymore, Ash. They had 2500 people register today, and that is for the 2 days they are doing the auditions.

i think it's great that u went thru with it all..i cannot imagine the horrible sleep or the coldness of the night and early morning..
were any of the judges mean like simon?

I cant believe that u went through all that just to get an audition. I'd hate to see what the people on "American Idol" went through.
Anyways, at least u tried... not very many people get the courage to actually go up there and sing but u did... congrats :)

^It wasn't really all that much to deal with, except the camping out. And that was fun. Everyone was totally nice and social, and I had a really great time

good job fopr trying out.... five of my friends did, they said it was very emotional. Apparently they are looking for something "different" for the Canadian Idol, my friend actually got a call back his name is Will, hes so sweet... so everyone wish him luck
