I don't know about your Mom, but that's all mine wants these days instead of gifts.

A loss of a family member changes ones perception of what a gift really is.

I'd invite them all to brunch and have all the kids split the tab.

More cost effective and much more enjoyable for all involved when compared to flowers/chocolates or chocolate flowers.

back in elementary school my teachers would get us to make our mom's these cards that had pieces of paper with different chores on them for a whole week...ans your mom is supposed to pick one out each day! hahaha i just remembered that. oh those were he days

I usually take my mom out for lunch and buy her something like a spa gift certificate (they all love that) or bath stuff from escents... either one she loves :)

i'd have to agree with mc hammered, take yo moms to a nice ass restaurant. or if there's younger kids too, go to a restaurant close to a beach, and y'all can walk on the beach after the meal. brunch times would be ideal.

or if your like my friend leo, you can bring your refugee mom's to the Plaza Club. (wasn't on mom's day but still crazy)

my mom doesnt like all the bath crap.. which makes it really hard to shop fer her. and she owns her own beauty salon so any sort of make up or creams and sheit are out of the picture as well

for your mom make her something... or write a cute little poem or anything that you think that she'd like.and/or get her something from body shop a card and flowers

get your bf mom's a card, flowers or something from the bodyshop! hah.. i don't think you can go wrong there and it's not too expensive

sorry i'm not too full of ideas right now... especially if i don't really know the person i'm shopping for i really suck

i usually got my ideas for mom's day gifts at the card shops, they sometimes have really neat things that are not too expensive, or that are a great idea for making something.

A nice frame with a picture of the family, or you and her in it! We have a lot at our Blacks store in Lougheed Town Centre (Mall)....come take a look!

they're $9.99 when you buy 3 cards.. not sure if that's canadian or american, but I keep seeing the commercials on tv.

I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to buy for my mom. she's one of those people who you can never shop for cuz she's not really into materialistic or beauty stuff. I think she'll like this cuz it's sentimental and we've got TONS of pictures and not enough places to put them in.

personally i loveee arts and crafts for special people. even as simple as a pic with a personal painted frame means a lot.. or even a painted garbage bin (i painted one for my mom last year).. simple, usable, cheap and comes from the heart.

this year im trying to spend as lil as possible for gifts..trying really hard to save up. ill prob buy her flowers in a painted vase this year.

my fam always has a big family dinner with my family and my aunt's..(since she's like a 2nd mother)...and we always give them both little gifts throughout the dinner (clothes, earings/necklaces?) a big bouquet of flowers for each of them at the end..it's like tradition~

tehehehehe i thought of a sweet idea today. im gonna personalize the handle of a broom (paint, or maybe flat down collage with acrylic medium on top)...so when she sweeps the yard/floor, she'll think of mee! AWWWWWW! im so cheese.
