Well, I think it's funny considering a few weeks ago I saw an ad on the tele about how McDonald's serves "Alberta Beef with Pride" anyone else see that? haha |
|

yeah, and who really knows if it is even Alberta beef (like the whole thing, the 100 PURE BEEF as indicated on their packaging is a brand name, not an indication..)
It's just funny, they release these commercials to show their pride in supporting Canadian ranchers and Albertan beef to reassure consumers, which I'm sure is having a bit of an odd effect on sales now.. |

i don't eat beef so i haven't nothing to worry about :P (i wouldn't worry anyways..hah)
and winston, i seem to remember them actually saying on that commercial, 100% real albertan beef? i could be wrong, but that's what i remember from that commercial. |

^ tis a good read- intersting for sure
One cow - with up to five calfs the disease isn't even passed through blood anyway - it comes from cows eating other cows (or food that contains their breathren) the disease, like SARS really isn't detrimental to humans - hence the name Mad Cow disease and not Insanity in steak form like Jean Chretien I'm eating steak w/ a little bit of pepper mmmmmmm STeak!!! But I am hoping this causes enough panic that the Keg has to offer supremely good deals on their steaks...selfish I know Actually I just hope the US doesn't continue the ban on Canadain beef and that this doesn't get out of control like SARS panic |
