Court, since your hair is different shades you wont be able to get the red out unless u do what someone said and tahts put it in longer on those specific parts.. to get rid of it easily you could just take the whole hair darker cause that will mask any highlights. keep it in a while then let you rnatural grow back or what about 3 or 4 months before deciding to lighten it back up. ps: to make your hair grown in healthy and faster, when rinsing out your shampoo and conditioner use cool water.. warm water opens up the cuticals in your hair (if you ever see a close of up a strand of hair its those little fish tail things) and that causes it to split and the color to be released.. so washing it with cool water keeps them clothes and keeps your hair in good contition.. i hope some of this helps. ps i can always braid you hair :) |

I haven't had my natural hair colour since I was in grade 6, and it's very healthy, thanks!
Previous to having black hair, I had platinum blonde hair for years. Leaving bleach on your hair for 40 minutes is fine. However, sometimes the bleach is not going to fully eliminate those brassy tones that can be left behind from browns/blacks/reds. There is a solution! Try using a TONER! Toners are a great way to get a uniform hair colour. This is inexpensive and most likely avaliable at most drug stores. Have you considered a nice fun blonde for summer? I'd go for it again if I didn't have so many layers of black dye on my noggin. |

You can bleach your hair all you want but you actually have to infuse "blonde" into the hair with a toner to get it to that colour. I had jet black hair and a bleach, toner then 2 weeks later rebleach and I was platinum blonde for a few days before the roots started showing again. :( I go see my stylist every 2 months for a cut due to rapid regrowth and colour reinfusion so I the myth that colouring your hair damages it is bunk to me. Right now the hair is "Harry the Monster" electric blue. |

Maybe some of you pros can help me get my hair full-on strawberry blonde with streaks for the summer.. then maybe black, indigo or fire engine red for fall/winter :P
If I had someone who knew what they were talking about/doing I wouldnt be so scared. |

If your hair has uneven colour throughout, then chances are store bought dye(no matter how dark) won't cover evenly. As was said before: seek professional help if possible, that store bought colour will kill your hair!!!
My stylist rocks and she has 50% off all services this month: www.mohairstudio.com check it out..I highly advise you go to a salon, as soon as you can afford it(especially if you have long hair) eventually you will get breakage and that you can not fix. :( |

Suki's International (www.sukis.com)
604-738-2127 Ask for Tom, he's my colour technician and does an AMAZING job. It's WELL worth the $200 for cut and colour! |

exactly. don't spend ten bucks on a bottle to look like shit. very few people can actually use a bottle of hair dye properlly. and I don't recommend suki's. twice they've screwed up and twice they've had to redo it. which in the end it looked terrible. which one time it cost me $280. They think because they are a well-known salon...they can charge an arm and a leg. Just because you are paying the money doesn't mean you will be happy with the end result. and myra....listen to her. she's always had hot hair. Last edited by ash1ee; May 23, 03 at 01:13 AM. |
