New Skytrain line determined
Just reading the province and they have set the stops for the new skytrain.. its suppose to run from Waterfront, to a new robson station then a Davie station.... ontowards richmond..
Waterfront> Robson> Davie> Broadway> king edward> oakridge> 49th ave> Marine drive> bridge port> then it splits in 2 directions, one going towards the airpost and another heading towards richmond center. =airport direction= Bridge port> vyr1> vyr2> vyr3> terminal> =richmond center direction= Bridge port> Capstan way> cambie> Alderbridge> Westminster> Richmond center.. Kinda interesting so i though i'd post it for all u richmond peeps ;) ALl to be completed by 2010! in time for the olympics page A3 of province may 29th Kinda excited robson and davie are gonna have stops tieing vancouver together finally.. how the hell are they going to put a skytrain to richmond center? number 3 road is a busy enough... are they going to just stick the skytrain up top the bus lane in the middle of no. 3? amazing..
mixed feelings about it.. it's going to be really convinient for me, but it still doesn't bring me close enough home...so i dont really care. richmond is gonna be over crowded and busyyyyy |

2010? that's 7 years away, I likely won't live in the same place - who knows I may even have a family
our city could double in population by then, especially if we are to be the next Olympic city (although double is a little lofty...) i think more transit is good, I mean compared to Toronto we suck ass (you can get anywhere there w/ relative ease) |

traffic during construction is going to be BAD. but do you honestly think you will be lieving with your parents in richmond in 7 years? |

hey hey! well the PICTURE for me is to move out in 4-5 years.. which is the year when i get out for post secondary. having a race with my sis..shes gonna milk my parents for as long as she can... i want to get outta here asap...but that involves budgeting and loads of saving up, which ive been doing.
but HEY the skytrain would be extremly convinient for me to visit my parents and sis at home ;). like you said sean..i can kinda imagine the skytrain up top, but no. 3 is already REALLY busy... hmm.. the traffic is going to suck. i can't imagine them having the skytrain stop booth anywhere here either..wow. by 2007 richmond's playdium and cineplex odiem should be open by then too. GO RICHMOND! |

yups theres a large piece of land near landsdown mall near the garden city side... they're SLOWLY building a playdium and cineplex odiem (sp) there.
with the new skytrain it means that richmond center will be even more packed... that is why i believe they should really invest in lansdowne mall and actually put some decent stores inside and try to increase its popularity. the only reason i go to lansdowne now is for kernals. |

traffic disruption in richmond is a good thing; at least all the street racers will have to slow down for a bit.
FUCKIN STREET RACERS IN THEIR $30,000 HONDAS. SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THEIR PARENTS TO STOP SENDING THEM MONEY FROM OVERSEAS... no, of course im not insinuating anything.... |
