how much does a bass and amp go for?
i have a bass and amp that i want/need to sell but i don't know how much to sell it for. i don't know ANYTHING about basses or amps and i tried looking at ebay just to get an idea but i really don't know how good or how bad the bass or amp is. i found a similar amp on ebay asking for 69 bucks but i couldn't find a similar bass?
the amp is a peavy page 158 and the bass is a Sound Gear Ibanez ??? again, i know nothing about basses and amps. i was just wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark figure of how much i could sell them for. or if someone can send me a link to lead me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance :) -s.

what's a sub (sorry i have NO idea about anything to do with this kind of stuff)
all it says on the back of the amp is 1.5 watts 7.7V RMS 4 OHMS 120V~ (it has this little squiggly sign sort of thing after the V) 60Hz 40 WATTS hopefully that helps???? -s.

the length of the actual unit is around 12 inches in length i think. i'll go make a real measurement later on.
methodical: hmmm that black bass in the link you sent me kinda looks like mine. all it says on the actual box that the bass came in is "sound gear" and then in large print it says Ibanez. so i'm guessing the make of it is Ibanez. my bass is black and it has 4 silver knob things on it and silver strings and stuff. again i feel like such a tool right now cuz i really don't know anything when it comes to stuff like this shorerider: whoever buys it can play whaaatttevvvver they want on it. cuz it'll be put to better use. :) -s.

dude thats a nice bass! ibanez makes quality instruments (my guitar that i've rocked out on for 9+ years is ibanez) and if it is a 5 string it will definetly be worth a fair bit more. look on the headstock (where the knob thingys are attached) and see if it has the actual model number or name on it. also look on the pickups (rectangular box things underneath the strings on the main body of the bass) and see if they say what type they are. if the bass is in good condition i would say anywhere from 400-1000 for a ibanez 5 string bass. but i would want to know the exact specs for it before naming a more exact price.
if you seriously want to sell it, phone 'long and mcquaide' or 'tom lee music' and ask them about the exact model of the bass and pricing. they would give you the best answer. good luck!

the amp is actually a Peavey Rage 158. it's a 15 watt RMS guitar amplifier, you'd be lucky to unload it for a hundred in brand spanking new condition, average going price is around seventy-five. amps like those are easy to find for dirt cheap and they're only good for practice really, so you might have difficulty finding a buyer.

the bass is a fairly cheap-ass 5-string, goes for around $500 new, depending on condition you could sell it for at most $300?

IBANEZ AGATIS BODY 5-STRING BASS (SR305DX BK) = $490 new
We don't carry Peavey, but a similar sized Fender Bass Amp (15B) retails for $165 new In perfect condition, a store will usually buy it from you for 50% of the retail price. L&M on Granville is probably where you're going to get the best price for it based on the amount of guitar sales they do, but there is an L&M in North Van to avoid trying to park downtown.
