SUMMER TIME parties... important things to remember!
So now that summer is here we'll most likely all be heading to the outdoors to party quite often. As we all know this is a lot of fun but can cause quite a mess. So I thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread that people can add there suggestions for good ideas to help keep things from getting wrecked by the outdoor parties this summer.
The number one thing I can think of is to NOT bring glass containers to the outdoor parties. Number two is to bring a couple garbage bags and fill them up in the morning. A lot of places get used over and over for outdoor parties and can have a lot of garbage left around before you even get there. So.... what's some other good one's?

some common sence.....
sure we party to get away from it all but, theres no need to get so silly that you hurt your self.. we're out side the ground hurts, so do trees, rocks and bears. the parties take place at night. A flash light is a good idea. this can then double as a raver toy while your dancing... RAVE RAVE RAVE! Play safe kids!

NO GLASS is a biggy... as well, if you pack it in you pack it out - i know this won't work with smaller garbage (^^ see garbage bags up top) but there is often a lot of bigger crap that for whatever reason gets left behind - like a broken tent for a completely random example. The promoters/clean up crew should not have to deal with other peoples garbage at 8am... no good.

It's not even just ravers, its people in general.
Respect the environment. It's like rule number one when you go camping or anything outdoors. Sure when you're in the city and you dump some of your garbage on the side of the road, someone will pick it up. But when you're out in the middle of nowhere, there's no city employees or kids doing community service to pick up after your lazy asses. It doesn't take much effort to keep your trash in a bag and take it with you on your way out.

About garbage... i do agree bring garbage bags, best suited for smaller partyies with drinking and bbq's. One party we had in mid may was broken up by cops. However Because we quickly sent everyone home and where cleaning up the whole mess with out being asked... the cops where very friendly with us and actualy gave us tips on how not to get busted next time ;)
WATER BOTTLES! omg, I cant stand the sight of plastic water bottles after a massive! Out door partys or plaza. I think biger party promoters sould defenently set up way more bins for them. Or maybe even start recycling... then they could make more money! Its not only a bugger for clean up crew, but you hard core ravers dont want to break an ancle from sliping or steping on them. It sure screws up your rave dance when your going off ehh? Oh and we should definenly get more beer gardens going! and if promoters want more ppl to come out... try for shuttle busses and car pool set ups. Last edited by Ree Fresh; Jun 09, 03 at 08:27 PM.

A lot of what everyone has said above comes down to overall maturity.
No matter where you are partying, but especially outdoors, grab half a brain and ensure you are not tossing garbage around and ultimately disrespecting other peoples property in anyway. We have to remember that if we abuse the EXTREMELY limited venues here in Vancouver, then there will be no place left to have them! Peace.
