yeah chandel...the 800 totally worked out for the graph shots!!!! *raise the roof*

bev: yeah i'm trying to sort of expand my portfolio...i guess this shoot was more towards fashion photography and sorta strayed away from my surrealism stuff. i have some really goood ideas for more surreal fashion photography though that i've already sketched out and what not. and the color photography is a fairly new thing for me cuz most of my stuff in the past has been strictly black n white film. i want to expirement with color slide film too sometime soon just to get more vibrant complementary colors. i think the next shoot i'm gonna do is going to be a hybrid of stuff i've done in the past and more recent stuff...so sort of combine both elements and hopefully things will turn out.

in the first two shots i measured the light off chandel's face with a hand held incident light meter (as opposed to a reflective meter) and then compensated by dropping the camera 1 fstop to get more contrast between highlights and shadows. it worked out really well i think.

apart from the first two photos, i suppose the last images explore linear lines...there's lots of emphasis on horizontals and verticals. the rhythmic qualities are also pretty aparent in them i think. i even tried to crop the photos in an elongated fashion just to emphasis long stretching lines.

Woah, yo i really like them especially the first few. Did you take any of those pice by leeside by any chance. Hey girl your looking pretty dope in those pics i like your style.
What kinda camera do you use? i haven't really bin into photography like i use to but i wanna start doing it again. I use an old pentaxK1000 and try to mostly stick to black an white photo's. The shitty thing is my old teacher retired so i don't have access to a dark room any more.
