Outdoor Parties
Hey folks,
I just wanted to pass along a few tips about outdoor parties. I was at Solace on the weekend and something I saw bugged me a little bit. On more than one occasion I saw girls walking off alone back to their cars to get stuff, or to take a pee, or whatever. This is really not a good idea. Remember, just because it's a party and most of the people are trustworthy or simply e-tarded, that doesn't mean everyone is. Girls: Use the buddy system. Guys: Don't let girls walk off alone. For those of you who might not have been around for Apex 1999, this is simply a reminder that not everyone at parties is a nice person. |

This is a very good point. Especially with massives like Rhythm Nation that have a ton of different styles of music incorporated into one party, that will attract all different kinds of people... People not normally at parties. Better to be safe than sorry!
Car break-in's are quite common as well so leave nothing valuable in your vehicles either. Peace. |

few pointers from me:
-leave all important things at home...even cards. bring an id and a good amount of mula. dont tell others to hold on stuff for you.. because once ure drunk/fucked up... you'll forget who you gave your stuff to and start freaking out (lesson learned....what was i thinking) -also...damn outdoor thieves.. they're on a mission to steal at outdoor parties. you can be safe freak like me and bring a combo lock and lock your tent when its unattended. write the combo down on a few pieces of paper and give it to only ppl you trust. -bring layers of clothing and change of clothes -bring bug spray....might not be the best smelling perfume, but use it...just smother it on. spk..if there was karma i would give you a mad one for this thread... scary times at an outdoor party i tell ya. buddy system works the best. be careful ladiessssss! |

kudos.
not only for makin this thread but for also walking my friend, someone who you had just met, up that big and awkward hill to her car on saturday. as she walked away i contemplated to going with her to keep her company. i didn't go with her because i was too high, or lazy but the thought of safety never even crossed my mind. as you ran after her i thought you may have had alterior motives but then i read this thread and realized it was just 'cause you're a nice guy. now i feel bad for not being as concerned about someone i've known for years as you were for someone you had just met. any ways, it was nice meetin ya shawn and we'll be seein ya on the 16th! *EDIT*: Say_Whut under Taddy_Bare's account. Great post
Yeah Shows with LARGE Diverse crowds like Summerlove and RN can get a lil crazy......thats why there's lots of security/first aid etc and small shows generally have a great tighter crowd where everyone knows eachother but no matter where you are beeeeeeeee visualant! and have fun AGROout |

Like I said in my review for Solace.
SPK:good to meetcha and thanks for walking my cousin back up to the car to get the T.P. :lifesaver: not just a lifesaver because we needed T.P. but so my cousin didn't have to walk to the car alone. :) Girls are usually pretty good about having pee buddies. Hell they go with a pee buddy to the washroom in the club. |
