What is the Party scene like in Canada??

I am thinking of moving to Canada (somewhere?) and I would like some input about the scene there. Here in the U.S. it's ok other than the fact the govt. is trying to f@ck us in any way possible! But I have heard that you guys (& gals) have really great scene ... Any input would be appreciated. Thanx & Peace

most of our parties are a mix of hip hop, trance and soft rock. all our pants are made mostly of zinc, which has excellent medicinal properties. every year we elect a board of ravers who plan all the parties for the next year. there also is a hereditary rave monarch (king or queen), but they have limited powers and are basicly just figureheads. our concession stands sell delicious maple pudding. we have two rooms, one for ugly people, one for attractive people. this keeps ugly people relaitic about the people they hit on, and the pretty people free from nerdlings being all up in thier grill. 7 out of 10 canadian ravers preferred sasha when he was just a backup dancer for emf.

Well now that we've scared the American...................

Why am I not on this rave board? Everyone knows I’m the biggest raver around. I think Courtney should be on it too.

The best.

But what I don't understand is by the sounds of your original post TribalMoon your moving out of the Us just because of the new apointed rave laws. I think if I was an american I would fight for my right to party it up all nite. I wouldnt let my country just steamroll over everything like that. Then again, in that sense I can see why you would wanna come to Canada ;)

If I was to move anywhere in Canada, without a DOUBT BC.. I mean.. if you like to toke :blunt:

The pants I'm wearing right now were purchased in the States and are therefore zinc-free - could this have negative effects on my mental health? Could this have negative effects on my mental health?

synx, there's no way to fight the rave act & other petty laws. They were slipped in under another bill so it would pass quickly. And in this country, you can't fight for your right to party. Thanx for being real about it! And thank you to everyone else who had positive inputs. BC DOES sound like the place to be! The Best scene & hell yeah I like to :somatic: as well! Another perk of living in Canada! Stringed beans - where's the P.L.U.R.?? I have not even moved there yet!? And you dissing already!? But I do understand the dislike for some American peeps. I Feel ya! And last, but definitely least, rawb ... sounds like da drugs done f@cked your shit up! Or being stuck in da ugly room too long eating maple pudding 1?? :338: Learn what P.L.U.R. is bro .... hint: they're not drugs either! :24k: As a DJ & Promoter here in the Southeastern U.S. for the past 2 years & being in the scene for 10 yrs now. I have met alot of DJ's (mostly breaks & DnB) & I hoped to find an area to help promote these kats & myself. And once again thanx for the positive feedback. ~Peace~

The scene's OK. But everybody thinks the grass is always greener on the other side. If you move up I recomend Vancouver or Toronto, every else is too small and breaks & D&B are big in both cities.

What's the scene like for breaks down there?

AWOL -Breaks (FL, Funky, Electro & Nu Skool) & DnB (all forms as well) are the main genres that rule over our area. House & Trance are good - as long as they're Progressive, Deep, Dark and/or Tribal. And everything else pretty much takes a back seat. We only have Massives rarely, but more of a limited capacity club party scene. Far from the old skool utopian vibe. Be thankful for the freedom that your scene seems to have. How is the Toronto area?? I don't hear much about their scene?

If you are coming to BC for the party scene I would recommend that you DON'T come to Vancouver...Victoria is the place to be...Vancouver has a pretty highschool-esque scene in general...

Although there are some parties here which are exceptions to that...just not many...

dj4mula is on a distinguished road
A majority of Vancouver ravers seems to enjoy trance and breaks. This is not to say there aren't people who enjoy dnb and house. IMO Vancouver has the best breaks scene in North America. From Progressive breaks to FLA breaks, Vancouver's breaks djs are some of the best. Czech, Oddmud, Sodapop & others reside in the west. Some of the biggest breaks djs have also visited Vancouver.

Toronto has a great dnb scene, some say its the best in North America. I've never experienced a dnb party in TO, but I've seen Vinyl Syndicate and there pretty phat and they reside in TO. Also, TO has a pretty big hardcore following. Annabolic Frolic, creator of the happy 2b hardcore series is from Toronto.

If you love Trance, you should consider coming to Vancouver to. Azim, head of Twisted Productions is a trance slut. Heh. He brings many huge trance headliners to Vancouver. Speaking of Twisted, massive parties are usually put on by them. 3000-4000 at the Plaza of Nations. This venue is clean, massive and did I say clean!

If your looking for underground, there are underground production crews coming out the ying-yang. DA, Agro, Pound etc. The list goes on and on.

IMO, the only thing that Vancouver is missing is a club scene. Yes, we had club nights for trance, dnb, breaks. Blah Blah Blah. I know, but there isn't a super club. The majority of Vancouver clubs play hip-hop and top40. We need something that brings 3000 people to a club. A club that has multiple rooms. The closest thing we have is Commodore, its a phat club, but only 1 room. TO has G-Spot and The Guvernment.

One last thing, Canadians can dance! Break, Flail, 2-step, grind we can do it all! HEh Heh!

You hooked me on Vancouver 4mula! Toronto sounds nice, but Trance & Breaks is where it's at. And 3000-4000 peeps - is a PARTY! Our 250-750 does not compare. Yeah it's fun, but I LOVE a HUGE PARTY! :c-tard: The more, the merrier in my opinion. And dancing, you better know how to get down!! :284: But can you liquid or pop lock is the question? :095: CYA & Peace
