I am so beyond stoked for this.... I was driving down to Seattle when they made the announcement and I had a bunch of Americans on the I-5 staring at me as I screamed.
Sooooo excited.... this is exactly what the city needs. We can showcase our city, get new sports venues built, improve our roads.... and PARTY!!! A long wait to go but we'll see work starting asap I bet. |

That's a LONG fucking time from now, ill be 26 by then, and hopefully ill have enough money to go see all the events that i want to go see, I thought about this all day today at work and just imagine how BUSY its gonna be downtown during the olympics its going to be NUTS, and the prices for places in whistler are gonna skyrocket through the roof, I bet if you owned a cabin there and were willing to sell it right before the olympics started you would make millions

When I first heard that we were bidding for 2010 Olympics, I was a little weary.
Then I heard that my home country was competing against Vancouver. My heart was torn who to cheer for. Congrats to both Vancouver and Korean for presenting fantastic campaigns... and thank you Vancouver for bringing home the Olympics!!! :keebler: :hehe: :keebler: |

Well theres a number of things to get ready for:
-decide if i want to go back into either figure skating or hockey and make the oylimpic team by 2010? -look into investing and job oportunities? -set up a hostel because all my traveling friends are gonna want to crash at my place? Its so cool now because everyone I met while traveling well now think of me as that canadain girl from VANCOUVER!!! I think its so cute and funny how Montreal, Calgary and now Vacnouver get the big Oylimpic chances and Toronto still fails :P Last edited by Ree Fresh; Jul 02, 03 at 08:55 PM. |
