Canucks need 2 make a trade! Oh god!

Darren Hatcher to the Wings and possibly Kariya to the Avalanche.

Oh god! 'Nucks need to acquire Mirsoslava Satan or Ray Whitney for the 2nd line. Getting Brad May at the trade deadline is unexceptable.

avalanch reunite kariya and selanne, wings got hatcher and hasek......canucks resign rutuu.........fucking fuck...........looks like we're going to have to wait another 9 years to get past the first round :soak: and can someone tell me why the hell detroit is in the western conference......? They seriously need to send detroit to the eastern conference..... to even out the east and west......because we all know the powerhouse teams are always in the west.....basketball and hockey

Joe is a great player, problem is he's a piece of glass. He get injured quite easy and also his age is a factor. Nucks have enough leadership with Linden. It's time for a scorer. Sorry, but I don't think Naslund should be C. Heh.

You don't think Naslund should be the Captain?????? Any reason why the best player shouldn't be the captain? Also he leads by example and never shy's away from criticts... who would you suggest as a new captain?

I'd like to the Canucks bring in a new player but I also trust Burkes judgement on the matter.

I think Bertuzzi should be the C. Or even Linden. Naslund does have the points, I'll give him that. But you don't see Naslund giving a big hit to spark something. Or you see Naslund winning a key face-off. If Naslund was A, there would be less pressure on him and he can perform better.

Linden doesnt have the points and that is the only thing going against him. Bertuzzi, well not much is needed to be said about him.

I think Bertuzi lacks focus, as in he takes far to many untimely penalties and has a tendancy to run his mouth. Linden would be a great Captain but at this point I don't see the advantage of having him instead of Naslund. Just being a member of the team he already brings a great deal of leadership to the team, really his style is similar to Naslunds minus all the goals. Also I think that having pressure on a player isn't always a bad thing. From what I hear a problem that might work its self out sooner rather than later is Marc Crawford, while he has a great resume and has gotten the team to improve under him every year rumor has it that he's quite unpopular with the players. This can work in some cases but can also cause a team to implode leaving management no choice but hire a new coach.

Anyway I would like to see the team imporove but I trust that Burke will make the best moves he can. A solid back up goalie would be a huge improvement!

I also agree the Canucks are Naslands team. He has been there the longest since the days of mike keenan. He may not hit and spark the team as much as bertuzzi and such but he gets the big goals when you need them, and bottom line is he is the BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM!!

Better than Bertuzzi even.... Bertuzzi may lay out the big hits but a captain he isn't YET!!

Linden doesn't need the C to gain respect. All his teamates know he is like a role model and definetly a big part of the team in the locker room and on the ice.

He doesn't need a C to prove it.

I wouldn't mind seeing 16 captain again. I think it would let Markus free to concentrate on his game more. It kind of makes sense as Linden's strong point now is leadership and Markus' is scoring.

Screw the avs, they aren't goin no where if they have shite goaltending! ie, david aebisher! and they ain't gonna get cujo cause avs and detroit are major rivals and if they get bulin wall, the avs at least will have to give tanguay.

Tim, no Satan! we would have to give up to much to get him.
Mark my words, SOME of these players will be in a canucks uniform by training camp. 1. Greg de Veries - which will be an upgraged in defence. 2 Ray Whitney - Can quaterback the power play and would now have a real second line center.
3 Magnus Arvedson - To replace klatt and has a bit of a scoring touch. 4 Vaclac Prospal - another scoring winger, would add more depth. Defencemen Jamie Pushor and Calle Johansson are also possible Candidates

Joe Nieuwendyke very bad knee and very bad idea. As for the goaltending situation clouts is still young and still learning hes only beenin 4 playoff series, give him more time. Goaltenders maturing process much longer. Its so easy for blame a loss on the goaltentders, gotta remember its a TEAM game And for the lost against minny, its not all his fault. the forwards didn't score enough and the defence had too many breakdowns in there own zone.

just my 0.02 cents

If you look at Cloutier's early play last season he stellar the first 3 months or so, then as he was over played (no solid back up...) he fatigued and went through some injuries. As said goalies take a while to mature and can often play at a high level to quite a ripe age. How old is Roy, or Burke?

Cloutier is a pretty good regular season goalie. You have to admit that. He's even better when he's not injured. I don't see Burke trading Cloutier as of yet. However, when the trade deadline approaches. If Cloutier is doing mediocre I will suspect a trade.

Wow, next season should be interesting. But yes Brandon, your predictions seem pretty accurate. I like Whitney.

It would be cool if we were able to snag some of those Ottawa players...Like Prospal & Arvedson...They come from a winning team with good mentalily so they would deff. be a plus for Canucks

no way, ray whitney's wicked. he got 70+pts this year, WITHOUT playing with sanderson and cassels. on columbus. COME ON!

seeing how kariya and selanne packaged themselves together, we had no chance of signing both. it's not realistic for this team to spend 7million. even if it is a steal.

we will be working on resigning todd to big ass long term deal firstly. then 2nd line scoring will be addressed. but i don't wanna predict burke, cuz well, he's not that predictible.

bertuzzi is not captain material. just cuz linden is a fan favourite doesn't automatically make him a captain. markus has been thru the recent lean years. hell the man broke his leg, then came back and scored 40plus goals. again. that's heart baby.

Don't forget that Naslund was also nominated for the Hart Trophy and won the Pearson Award! He was the NHL's MVP as voted by the players!!!

Wasn't just nominater for the Hart Trophy he was a finalist and runner up for the award. As for the Lester Pearson Award. That is huge because it is the award for the mvp as voted by players which are Nasland's peers.

and Peter. RAY WHITNEY IS SO NOT GARBAGE!!

fuck the kid has speed and a scoring touch. he was one of the canuck killers last year
