If anyone wants to hook up to mix/remix/produce, etc let's get together sometime...I've found myself lately spending lots of time with music and now it's time again to share experience and fun with others. Oi! :moon:

i'll teach you reason. you could look through reasonstation.com. there are some good tutorials and whatnot. i have learned the most from the pdf files that come with the program. i'm assuming we're talking about 2.5..

ive been working on this track myles gave me to remix, with this dope guitar riff and solo thingie. its sooo phatty, like *whoa* i think the original song is called 'bullet hits the bone" or something like that. the onlt problem is, when the original band recorded it, they didnt use a metronome or anyhting, so like 3/4 of the way through the solo, it speeds up a bit, and i'm having much technical difficulty getting my track to speep up (just like and eigth of a bpm) to keep up with the solo. maaan it's dope though. i'll make it public when i can get my mind around this problem.

mmmmm Reason!!!!

I felt a little restricted with Acid after a short while, quality of loops and online resources were hard to get, you were forced to use pre-made loops in every track, and it just got boring. Reason 2.5 definetly makes a more professional track since you are actually fabricating the techno beats under the song you are remixing, you have more control over exact timing to make it all perfect. Acid is just basically a cut and paste program. Reason maximizes your potential for a great track, since you're able to incorporate your own midi, create your own soundbanks and make original loops. You can seriously do anything with this program if you read the manual... if you have 13 hours to spare ;) definetly get yourself some Reason 2.5 if you're well-oriented with Acid. |
