working in another country???
So I have a british passport and I've been researching and apparently once I am over in the UK I need to apply for a social insurance number type thing, apparently if I find work they can give me a temporary number because it can take quite some time recieve the card...
so I was just wondering if anyone knows how many places of employment would be likely to give me a temporary number??? like, is this a common thing or would the company have to go out of there way making it a huge hassle???(harder for me to find a job?) any info would be much appreciated!! thanks! |

i'm not positive, but it's probably the same sort of system they have here. you apply for the card, and you get a sheet of paper to use in the mean time that basically states you are getting the card, you just don't have it yet.. so they can employ you off that.
it can't be too difficult to get. my sis is in the uk soon and doing the same thing, so i'm pretty sure it's not that difficult to obtain. -cheryl |
