Video Editing Software

I'm looking at fucking around with some video editing software. What do you guys reccommend I use to start out with??

Adobe Premiere...its a very powerfull program if you get deep into it. However, its all great for beginners. Looks of cool features like fading in and out and other cheesy effects.

Add Adobe After Affects for some even more 37337 effects.

first and only...final cut pro.

theres no point in using anything else, cause if you ever get serious, you will just have to learn it anyways. so you might as well start with it.

i use adobe premiere

but mike's right. jamie, my roommate who's in film at ryerson, uses final cut. isn't it an industry standard or something? (i could be wrong)

yeah, its the standard for indie film and everything close.

the standard for the pros is avid though.
