Do you click it? Or strap it on?
I am riding Flows this year...so I'm not sure; they are kin of a step in with the convenience and confort of a soft boot and the conrtol and love of a full binding. Plus no strap bite.
So what is up does the majority like to click it or strap it on? |

I use Clicker's and the only reason I do is that I can't find a pair of boots to get rid of the foot pain when I strap in nuclear tight.
Clickers also have a heel/toe connection which I prefer and don't ice up as I have the carbon fibre model. The Burton system sucks IMO (recalled in their first year) and uses way too much plastic which can crack under stress and the Rossignol SIS side pin system is retarded as it ices up so fast. Flows would be the best step-in alternative but they were not as well designed back when I looked at them as they are now. Current Flow models are so stiff that my friend ripped the inserts and binding off his board when he bailed on a jump. As for ankle support issues, my Nitro (www.nitrousa.com) step-in boots (Aura) offer more ankle support than any soft boot on the market. That being said, they are probably a hell of a lot stiffer than what you peeps would wear... it's almost like a soft flexing hardboot. Most people that do park/pipe prefer strap in bindings due to the fact it offers more flexibility and give in the ankle region to do tweaks and grabs. I do steeps and speed and I want the support and the confidence the direct connection to the board my bindings give me. I have never popped out of my binding accidentally. This is the ultimate step in that I use on the race boards. |
