nothing is broken, my neck hurts like a bitch, my chest, ribs, right leg and back all hurt ohh and my stomach too.
luckily i was meeting sum friends up the street from where it happened and we smoked two or three blunts on the way to the hospital

DON'T SETTLE

don't say anything. don't even give them a statement. talk to a laywer. look in the yellowpages under "bloodsucker." you'll probably get mad bling from this.

get a lawyer. I was plowed by a car last october and all statements were in my favor and ICBC tried to tell me it was my fault, simply because I did not go in with a lawyer when I made my statement. They even went as far as to charge me the damages my head made to the windsheild of the car that hit me.

Needless to say, I never signed anything through ICBC and got myself a good lawyer. Most laywers will see you for free to decide if you have a case or not, which it seems like you do, and then likely you will sign into a contingency fee agreement with the lawyer, because you are guarenteed to win some sort of settlement, which is usually around 1/3 of the cash settlement.

Then basically they begin to hound ICBC and other parties involved and send you copies of all their correspondance and occationally get you to sign something... ICBC will generally wait it out just before it is brought to court and then settle.

oh, and see a doctor regularily about any aches and pains, and even mention small things like headaches, as many head injuries may not develop obvious symtoms until a later date.

oh yeah. i wouldn't feel guilty. you're injured and in pain. dude was drunk. you have every right to demand the utmost in compensation legally, and morally.

the situation might be a little different if you were rear-ended by someone just having a bad day. while legally in the right, one might have second thoughts about making the guy's life too much of a hell. shit happens.

but in your case, go for the throat, i'd say.

im gonna see if this worsening pain gets any better by tomorow and think about it. the kid was really not very nice either so, i dont feel to badly for him.

i was in a head-on with a gmc yukon, once. i was in a mazda 323. my car was a wreck. 4 seconds of my life haunted me for about 6 months. i know what it's like.

thanx :) its scary eh? unexpected AND scary, definatly not fun. my parents saw the car today for the first time, now they are being really nice and let me pick dinner. i dont think they knew it was that bad.
