...working in the advertising/marketing industry? Or within radio/television broadcast? I am trying to find my path right now and I am wanting to become an advertising art director. Just wanted to find out some more info from anybody who's working within the industry. Let me know! :)

my sister took marketing in uni, and she's in japan right now doing some marketing business for sanyo.. when she comes back from japan maybe you can talk to her about it?

I just remember her mentioning doing marketing for sanyo..

she's in commerce by the way so iono if that has anything to do with what you're lookin for erica, cause I know you're looking more on the creative side... but either way I'm sure my sis wouldn't mind chattin if you wanted to...

yay erica..
same position as me. thats something ive loved doing..ive interviewed a few creative/art directors and they seem to love their job as well. i can try to send you a email for you to write to...i know a guy from karacters design.

good luck with the program at ryersons.. if thats where ure heading to. while you get ure communication degree ill be getting my communication design degree here. im so jealous of you though.. that ryersons program looks exceptionally good. we'll meet somewhere.... it will be race and you know it;)

Advertising/Marketing is very competitive. You might want to contact some of the firms in Vancouver and see what are the requirements for there positions.

awe, that would be so sweet yoko! yeah, i'm definitely looking into more of the creative/design side as opposed to the business, but any input would be helpful. i originally wanted to do the graphics communications management program, which would have been more the business aspect, but i think i would do better (and be happier) if i focused more on the creative. radio and television arts...i'm so excited! it sounds like such a fun area to be in. i'm sure it's hard work and very cut throat, but it'll be worth the challenge.

yeah! if you could ICQ me the e-mail address for the guy from karacters design, that would be so incredibly helpful! i really hope that ryerson accepts me for the fall 2004 semester. can you tell me more about the program that you got accepted to for emily carr? maybe i should look into that and apply as well so i can broaden my options just in case i don't get in. cause i was basically planning to just go back to mcgill if i didn't get into ryerson, and i'm not too keen on going back into psych. and yeah, who knows? maybe one day we can become partners in crime. :P plague the world with our crazy ideas!
