Good Cellphone:?!
I need quick replies. like within the next half hour if any one can reply.
is the audio vox a good phone!? I'm with bell, what are some good phones to buy that are NOT flip phones, and that AREN'T gonna fall apart on me after 3 months (k fine so I spilt juice all over it) and that isn't TOO pricey. |

What do you define as "good" ?
like for me "good" is something that doesn't break. I have a bad tendancy for breaking my phones. I use a "Mike" phone right now. It's with Telus (formerly known as "Clearnet" until Telus bought them out) and it hasn't broke on me....yet. It's not the smallest in the world, nor is it one the "prettiest" but it works. I'm happy. |

^i'm with ya.. i've had.. my 3390 for about 2 and a half years now. I've dropped it, and I'm pretty sure I spilt water/juice on it, and it hasn't failed on me.. i'm pretty sure it's still in good condition, although some one else is using it right now.. so I was pretty peeved when my cellphone broke just after one spill.. YA I KNOW so it isn't SMART to spill anything on your phone, but my chunky phone was so much more durable.
now I have to pay up to 200$ just for a new one and I'm kind of skeptical about flip phones now.. so I'm looking for a non-flip phone. My phone was pretty crappy. It LOOKED good, the design was nice but the RECEPTION WAS HORRIBLE, the features sucked, and my alarm clock stopped working after a while.. I think my defintion of "Good" is durability, reliability, good reception.. a yoko-size phone with yoko-serving features. the only thing that was good about this phone was that the salesperson was hot. unfortunately, he was not part of the contract :tounge1: Anyways, I'm off to buy a new phone... I don't think I can stick around long enough to wait for more replies.. as I'm in a rush to buy one but thanks for your replies guys and WELCOME TO THE SITE MERRIAM |

I'm really liking this phone actually. The hot bell guy recommended it, it's one of their top selling phones.
Very cute, small, and different backlights, which is nifty [white, purple, red, yellow, green, blue, etc.] the volume/speaker on the phone is good, unlike some phones which are always super quiet. it even has speaker phone. as for other features, there's a calculator, a stopwatch, a calendar, and a world clock [this allows you to go from city to city to see the current time.] the calendar is handy, you can set the events, what time and the reminder you want [reminders can be any ring in the phone, not just annoying beeps]. there's also the alarm which is super handy. you can have up to three alarms set at once, and you can even have them go off daily if you like, without having to reset it. [very handy] the reception has been good for me, but i'm not sure if that's just bell or what. but where ever i've been i've had good reception pretty much [surrey, burnaby, coquitlam, downtown van, north vancouver]. [weeeee i'm rambling] durability is pretty good. i'm a clutz so i'm always dropping things! haha, i've tried not dropping this one, but that hasn't worked. nothing too serious [no spills or anything yet] but it's held up fine so far. overall a good phone, and not a bad price [$179 is what i paid]. one downside is.. NO GAMES!#% :[ but you can go online and download ringtones/screensavers/whatever.. but.. no games.. i miss those. |

CHERYL! I got the audio vox. I was gonna get the samsung, but I'm like.. heck, for 50$ more I can get a phone that isn't two years old and isn't the size of a cordless phone.
So far, I LOVE IT. but some one keeps calling me and I have no clue who it is.. cause I don't have any one saved on my phonebook yet. So the search is over.. :D thanks guys for your input. And unfortunately, I didn't get a hot salesman this time. |

i'm glad you like the phone yoko! it's a good one.. i love mine. PURPLE BACKLIGHT!#% hehe i just wish they had pink. too bad no hot salesmen though!
there's nothing bad with a contract, unless you're one of those people who can't stay with one thing for longer then a few months and is always buying a new phone and blah blah. the only scary things are 3 year contracts, which bell doesn't have alot of.. if any [none that i've seen anyways] |

let me tell you about my personal experience with a contract.
so I buy a 1 year contract with rogers and I got my phone for I think $50. a couple months later, a car runs over my phone. it was fucked. I go and tell rogers that I need a new phone and they tell me that it's going to cost me a whopping $400 to buy the exact same one. I NEED a new phone because if I don't, I'm still going to end up paying $35/month for another 9 or 10 months because I had just signed a contract with them. I didn't trust buying an old cellphone off of buy-sell at the risk of buying a stolen cellphone. eventually, a friend of mine knew greg c, who just happened to work for rogers. he fixed my phone for like $75 (which was cheap considering how much it would've cost if I had asked someone else) and it's still been working ever since. so a piece of advice to you when you sign a contract with rogers? don't lose or break your cellphone. :P --Joanne :P |
