It's not just one trainwreck man, it's a lot of years of hard work for what? most have you guys have been supportive since day one. but now it just seems like no one cares about anything anymore. And plus I didn't intend that to be told to everyone! cause it wasn't something to be spread. esp. on here!

Cint-HO... consider this a slap in the back of the head fawker. You are talking about two different things in this one thread:
1.) Your little mistake on Friday - as many have pointed out Eric, it was all in good fun man. Did you put your beer down on your record when you were drunk, yes... was it funny yes, does it mean you are any less of a DJ, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Everyone knows you are one of the tightest mixers in the scene so do not come down on yourself in anyway. Hell, when I am hammered, I seem to think I am DJ Precise or Grandmaster Flash and let me tell you, that is embarassing! 2.) The second issue you brought up was the scene the way it is -Yes, I would TOTALLY agree with you that the scene as of late is the shits with the exception of the Top 40's and Hip Hop scene which is still going strong. The House following as well only IF you bring out a big headliner IE: Mark Farina. Other forms of Electronica type music IE: Breaks, Trance, etc... do okay but only IF you book world class headliners at a decent price which is difficult to do in this city. I give MASS props to those doing the Vivid Sessions series, although in combination with Benson & Hedges who fronts the cash, for bringing in the talent they are at Sonar recently at a very affordable price. The scene in general (club and party) is extremely un-predicatable... I mean, look at Silverfest and its extremely poor turnout (from what I heard) this past weekend... Look at the turnout for you and X at the club... It's funny how the city wants more and more but isn't willing to support what they request in the first place with the exception of Top 40's and Hip Hop. Anyway, enough bitching from me, I just wanted to slap you upside of the head and encourage you to keep doing what you're doing - DJ'ing, producing and being a positive (for the most part) mentor to a lot of people in the scene having been in it for so long. Peace. |

well i was not the one who brought it up.. mike did, way to go mike, get Kraig mad at me ... LOL
it's rough yes.. but who knows what the months ahead have in store, we'll see on how my party turns out on sept 20th.. considering the cause of the show! not everyone who said they would go have bought tix, mostly people who I thought didn't even know about it. but enough of the promo for the show (by the way if you want tix e-mail me asap down to my very last few) and Kraig tell the crew to get them soon too cause they said they wanted to go. anyway! enough .... chat you guys up soon, i'm gonna go work on some more music! and myles i have a banner for the show i want you to put up and how can i put music here for people to sample till my site is up and running? |
