to get into clubs in NYC you gotta totally hype yourself up for the club cuz at big clubs they choose people out of a crowd who can go in...kinda like that movie...fuck...whats it called...fuckin...studio 54 or some shit.
or if you have a hookup, you can get a fag-tag and that lets you bypass the lines at clubs. and go to canal street to shop. they got some hype knock off designer shit. guici, luis vuitton, burberry...my girl jess goes down every 2 weeks and she gets kangol hats for 5 bucks and she bought an akademiks track suit for only 75 or something instead of dropping 2 bills. -s.

ohhh dammn you're going to have so much fun. i went and lived there for over three months when i was 17 with a friend. it's great, so much culture everywhere. for clubs i liked cheedah, fun, and the limelight. go to Tunnel if you can i tried to get in there so many times but they didnt like my fake id of a puerta rican chick, but its famous and supposed to be really sik. china club the one thats up town near times square is dope. eat at benny hana's or however they spell it, its one of those japanese places where they cook in front of you. or Hoolihan's. make sure you go to a 'B.B.Q's' cheap cheap food and its good too. fishbowl margarita's for like 4 bucks. there is one on 8th st. and broadway, write this down ryan!! you'll be the only white boy in the place but you'll luv it.
best thing to do is just wander and become emmersed in the culture. the lower east side, chelsea, the east village, greenich village are all really cool. the people are dope there too . get a 40 and drink it in washington square park like they did in 'kids' and listen to sammy shopping on cannal st is fun go at nite... New york is super dope. I really like big cities and tall ass buildings, fuck there are so many!! There's just a bussle and energy about it that's crazy, overwhelming, I can't explain it. There is so much to do there, fuck... People were pretty damn chill after 9/11, but don't get it twisted... people are still sorta rude, and you better be moving quick, cuz that city don't stop!! Watch out when you cross the road when you have a walk sign, hahaha!! Go to bleeker (spelling?) street, sorta by greenwhich (spelling?) village, there are some record shops on and around that street. Pick up this lil booklet called 'flyer' at one of those shops. It's dope, it will tell you all about what clubs are playing what and who's there on any given night. Also check out the village voice for shows, hope that helps. Have a good time!
