i usually go to Revolutions in Metrotown and they always do a great job. If you go make sure you ask for Debbie because i dont trust any of the other people..(especially JOHN.. he totally ruined my hair one time). If you want the number let me know and i'll get it for ya!

Bev, if you EVER listen to me, listen to me NOW!

Suki's on Granville.
I've been going there for 9 years and never once have I had a bad cut or colour, they do an amazing job!

Ask for cut with Hiroshi and colour (if you're gonna get colour) with Tom. It generally costs me $180 for cut and colour, plus tip. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's $80 for a cut including taxes, but it's VERY VERY VERY worth it!

I'm going to go get my hair done relatively soon, probably on a Friday or Saturday - if you're a little apprehensive you can come with me and watch them work before you go there yourself!

wow $180 thats nuts..I hope they are giving you some fancy haircut for that price.

Mohair Studio

www.mohairstudio.com

Yanie and Colin are both great.
I get a cut colour AND foils(4hr job) for $120

(If you are not getting a funky/unique cut or colour, paying over $100 is useless..considering most capable hair stylists at lower end salons can do a straight cut and all over colour for MUCH MUCH less)

heres my latest colour.

I've seen Suki's do some great things to people's hair, if you can afford it, go for it.

I also like a lot of the work that all of the stylists do at Helmet salon on W 4th.

My favorite hairstylist is this girl named Deandra, she now works out of a smaller place in those weird artist lofts on like main and 6th. She's the kind of girl you can tell to go nuts and she'll do something totally wicked, or if you're apphrensive (and I know what it's like to be like that with long hair) she does a great job. She's been doing my hair as well as my big brother's for a few years now, if you're interested in her info let me know.

my stylist and colour tech are AMAZING
seriously
they could charge me more, I would definitely pay it
my peace of mind in knowing that they will _never_ screw up is worth every penny

oh man... like 2 weeks ago i was walking around west 4th waiting for chris to pick me up to go play bball and this lady in a suki's shirt came up to me asking if i could meet her at suki's on granville to be her hair model for the evening.. i had to pass it up cuz chris was on his way picking me up. i was SO SO SO mad..coulda got a free cut/style or somethingg done at suki's for free. god damn.

yea 130 sounds a lil much at the moment.. i dont even know what color i want. hmm. aveda sounds interesting though.

oh gawd i tried giving myself bangs last nite.. i cut a tiny strip off... like 6 inches off and freaked out..then completely stopped and made myself walk away from the scissors.

nat- tried the fructus stuff yesterday and i worked really well. i love having my hair wavy/curly..its a fun change. thanks for the tips.

OMFG I didn't know that's what the cost of a hair cut at Sukis cost! Now I'm really thankful that I have a friend work there!! :soak:

I don't think it matters where you go, or how much you pay to get the hair cut, as long as the person who's cutting your hair has knowledge on different types of cuts that would suit me, and someone that also knows me well enough to make decisions that will effect the way your hair looks for acouple of monthes.

Also, at Sukis & Aveda they have schools. So if you don't want to drop that much cash on a cut, ask the school if they need any hair models.

hey i can get my friend brent to give you a free cut
he's pretty good, likes to do stuff funky
he works at axis on georgia
if you want color as well, he can do that for free but you gotta pay for the dye (around $10)

i used to go to elizabeth at derek london, she gave me some pretty wicked cuts...mullet with tons of volume
my last cut i got done by nura at axis on georgia, she's given me probably my best cut ever...i told her to do whatever she wanted to do and make it funky, but she's really good bout giving you want you want

if you want to save your $, i'd go for brent...he's still new, but he's pretty wicked
