i'm pretty sure there was that much in north van that day.

but besides that, it says

the snowfall started on dec.26, didn't stop until midday dec.27, and brought more than 2cm. it was one snowfall, so you were still a day off :P hahaha

but it was continuous snowfall so it started on the 26th :P plus it may not have been sticking where you were, but it sure was in other places in the lower mainland.
