Somatic can only hope to improve
Ahhh textbooks........

....... I'm cringing at the thought. Get used to it buddy, it only gets worse. Unless you're an arts student, but then again, you can't really count them as students. Think of it as preparation for the unemployment line.

Heh, in all seriousness though, textbooks are expensive and it doesn't get any better as you progress. You gotta roll with the punches.

if you don't like buying the books because they are useless then don't buy them. see how far you get.

:Peenutt:

and 500bones isn't too bad for books. i'm spending about 830bux on books.

and not to mention the probably 100-200 hundred dollars which will be spent buying drafting tools and what not.

you've got it easy.

s

nope. all my teachers said we'll be using our texts and stuff. but they told us of the "optional" books. which are probably the useless ones. they explained them as the books for those who want to read more in depth about the subject.

that translates to me as NO FUCKING POINT IN BUYING THIS BOOK.

and all those optional books are like 70bux and up!
BOOURNS!

i need metric/imperial scales. set squares ((30,60,90 and 45)) erasing shield, QUAD FOUR ENGINEERING PAD((i have no fucking clue whut that is... neither do the staff at staples or office depot)) circle/ellipse templates, and some other shit. i can't remember.

:Peenutt:

i bout most of it. but not all.

yeah books are brutal...but whats worse is the line up for books!! ok, it;s not worse but it's still pretty bad. the whole experience took me about an hour...thats an hour that i'll never get to enjoy...and i want it back damn it! there's a line up out side the bookstore but once you get it's not over yet..the fun is jsut getting started. inside there's an even bigger line for the cash register!!!

i'm glad i got them already cuz the line up outside looks bigger everyday
