Launchcast!!!

I've been using launchcast for quite a while and its rad!!! I mean I get to customize my own radio station.

You get to rate your favorite genres, artists, albums, and songs and it plays music based on your tastes... your very own radio station. *thumbs up*

If anyone is interested check it out at http://launch.yahoo.com/launchcast/

Tux is an unknown quantity at this point
sounds like a good idea in theory, but implementation can be a bitch. That said, this launchcast thing uses a proprietary audio format and can only be used on a computer running windows, so anyone using linux or macs or other platform can't use it. Also the sound quality is very low.. sounds worse than a radio! even though it says you get higher quality if you get a subscription, it doesnt tell you how good the quality is (such as the kbps, KHz). Also all the stations available without subscribing are crap. And you get interrupted with advertising. And its run by Yahoo. I would rather use Digitally Imported for internet radio, it has good audio quality even without subscription, uses a compatible format across all platforms, and has good stations.

But whatever floats your boat, i guess. :toasted:
