why is it that...
why is it that threads like worst raving experience get so many replies and a thread like racism in golf gets hardly any? dont you people out there realize that there is a world besides raving and that you should try to spend at least a little bit of time focusing on issues that impact on the dovelopment of our society? i mean shit, this topic doesnt interest anybody or what?last time i checked this was a very multicultural board and thats one of the reasons i like it but i get surprised at the lack of interest in the issues that plague our society. maybe its the drastic drop in age compared to the people that used to frequent ED, I preffered ED because it wasnt all stupid ravers there was usually something halfway intelkligent to post about. dont get me wrong i like going to parties just as much as the next e-monkey but come on guys open your eyes and blow the dust off your brains. OPEN YOUR EYES DAMMIT!

People will reply to topics they can relate with or have past experience with... obviously they have more memories about raving than they do with racism.
This isn't a bad thing, but growing up in your generation where mixed nationalities are a given rather than the exception even a couple of decades ago can change the way people preceive the world. Remember that this is a board with a demographic in the band of 15-19 years old... hard to debate serious issues very long if one has not lived life yet. If you loved ED for what it was I feel sorry for the demise of your forum, but going around bad mouthing people here for being stupid and ignorant isn't going to help the situation. Now come help me into my Handy Dart already!

i don't think many people come on fnk to discuss and debate world issues. Fnk is an escape. Useless bullshit with useless topics designed too allow our minds to take a fucking break. The world is a big, bad and scary place. I think bringing any topic of substance to a board like this is a mistake, one because few people care and two because some idiot will eventually come along and make a mockery of the entire discussion. There is an innumerable amount of sites out there that cater to the discussion and debate of a great number of issues. word this board is somewhere you can go and not read about death, racism, corruption, hate, war and so on
every other place (TV, radio, newspapers ect...) it is pretty much takes up every page or station it's a nice peacful fun escape from whats happening around us yay raves

The thing I really enjoyed about ED was that I was able to get info on upcoming parties and club nights on the same site as I could join in on a discussion about something relatively interesting rather than, "what’s your favorite color?" or some other useless banter such as that.
Any time a thread on here is started regarding a topic of interest it gets a few replies, but within a day or two it’s no where to be seen. Instead the lounge gets congested with threads such as, “do you fart in bed and pull the blanket over your head?”. Maybe the addition of a newsstand section will help alleviate this problem. Perhaps I should just find a new message board. Or maybe threads about “dj’s in drag” really are more important than issues one may find on the evening news.
