Good restaurants
I'm always on the look out for good restaurants in the city. We are so lucky that Vancouver offers us such a wide range of cuisines, and we can get good food for a relatively cheap price. What are some of your favourite restaurants in the city that others may not know about? (basically saying exclude posting about restaurants that everyone knows...the typical chains like Milestones/Cactus, even though I don't really consider either of those to have GOOD food)
One restaurant that I love is called Tomato Fresh Food Cafe. It's located at 3305 Cambie Street. The quality of the dishes can almost be compared to some fine dining restaurants, and is even better than some. You may find the price to be a bit on the expensive side, but in my opinion, weighing out the fact that you're eating fresh ingredients and good food, it's worth the extra bit of money. A few of my favourite dishes there are their lemon dill salmon, vegetarian chili (comes with wicked cornbread), and their tenderloin steak. Their selection of fresh juices and smoothies are great too. Friendly staff and good service! |

Hi there, along marine drive on White Rock beach you will find probaly the best assortment of resteraunts anywhere in the lower mainland...
I know someone mentioned greek cusine, there is Cosmo's resteraunt, where you could be waited on by yours truly!..also a bit farther up is the boathouse with the best view on the beach you can eat overlooking the ocean on the 3rd floor there.. Thats where I usualy take ppl for Valentines day..its awesome great staff too...(get the lobster! mmm) Okay then we got "Charlie Dont Surf" a bit farther up which is perfect for when you got a big group of friends together...awesome place, very casual. Also the manager is total E-Tard so it can be pretty funny hehe. Now, if you have access to a trust fund or live in yale town, then I would recommend the Giraffe resteraunt, very very fine dining place where you could also have the chance to be waited on by yours truly!! woot :) Yeah so just thought id get my two cents in here...White Rock beach along marine drive, is a great place to go for a night of fun...after dinner I recommend the Ocean Beach bar, to get down to some top 40 and shake your azz with all the hoochie bar stars ! |

Feenies - chef Rob Feenies new restaurant located on W. Broadway Quatro - upper scale italian some of my personal faves are... Dario's La Piazza - located on E 12th in the Italian Cultural Centre, amazing Italian cuisine, the gnocci melts in your mouth, and they always have a nice selection of fresh game. Vongs - amazing small little chinese restaurant, the place looks like a little whole in the wall, but the food there is amazing. |
