I wrote this in response to all the crime drama I watch on tv, and also in response to the horrors that are in the news-papers every day.

Only

There is so much evil in the world
Sometimes it hurts so much just to be here

I see stories of people who
Lose their lives for nothing
Women and children who
lose their security
In the moments of someone elses madness

Families shattered
Lives ripped apart

Nothing but fear, hatred, shame

And I admit,
I can be guilty of those feelings too

But I direct it at those who
Cause this destruction of mankind

Those who steal innocence
Those who kill souls
Those who harm the defenceless
Those who feed off of kindness
and leave death, mutilation and destruction
In their wake

And it hurts to know

I am only one
