I must have Insomia, I have the hardest time falling asleep ..
Well its about 4:30 AM again...another sleepless night ..
Started laying down at around 2:30 coudnt fall asleep once again .. I dont usualy get off work till around 11:30-12:30....so around 2AM is about the time I feel I have winded down enough to get some sleep .. This has been going on for awhile now,I dont do drugs or anything heh..stopped using practicaly any sort of drug about 2 years ago... When I do try to sleep my mind just feels full of assorted thoughts..always thinking about something other then fallin asleep.... Its really starting to bother me, ive had sleeping problems for awhile but nothing this bad before ..I sometimes go a day or so without sleeping now, and when I do sleep will sleep for around 20 hours straight..sometimes longer ..Is this like insomia ? or what Does anyone have any tips for getting yourself very sleepy lol..I know puffing before I go to sleep works perfect..but I dont like having to rely on pot to get to sleep every night.. Its almost 5AM i have so much to do tommorow well today technicaly..A lot of people are counting on me, I need to be well rested..help! |

I think I had one of those nights last night too, I was trying my hardest to fall asleep but all I kept doing was thinking of different things, as time flew by more and more thoughts got into my head. I think thats the point I overloaded and fell asleep.

I have had the exact same problem for over 3 and a half years now.
I've just come to terms with the fact that I am truly nocturnal and nothing I do will ever change it... I seem to only be able to fall asleep at around 6am-noon... I get so tired some days that I feel like I'm still asleep while going through life... |

try some tea before bed.
if you have a hottub go jump in that for a half hour. warm milk reading. excersizing. try doing stuff that is physically going to exhaust you before bed. sex?! haha. anyways... if that doesn't work. head to the doctors....you gotta get sleep it's important. i was having the same trouble awhile back for a couple of months and it's was driving me insane. so i cut out all caffeine about three hours before bed time, i tried to go for a walk or head to the gym about an hour before bed time. those two things somewhat worked. eventually something just happened and i was able to sleep again. |

If you have a TV in your room turn it on and just watch it in the dark. Eventually you'll get sleepy and daze off. I think TV would help with getting your mind off thinking so much. Or you could turn on some music. That'll probably help too. Especially boring stuff like, the sound of ocean waves or light thunder/rain sounds.

try going for a walk before bed. write down all the things you want to do the next day.
Excercise during the day is a good idea. so is reading a book. try sleeping with the window open a crack. try valerian root. 1/2 hour before you want to sleep. maybe go to T on broadway and granville and get a nice tea. Don't get some nasty drug from a doctor. cut back on cofee maybe? |

I do work out a lot,
I usualy have hip hop class which is about a hour long of dancing hard(wish i went to this more often), and at work I really get moving ...working in a busy resteraunt. I got a list of things to try tonight, see how it works out :smoke1: |
