It's all so clear to me now!!!

I know why all the newer ravers (under 5 years raving) are so angry and bitter...

They never listened to Scooter!!!

I think both groups of people are angry because it seems to be the thing to do now, be "agro". I don't get it, I think everyone should just keep it to themselves if they don't like something about someone else and stop bitching about it.

I think the world has just become more bitter and jaded ... people partying for more than five years lament that things aren't as good as they were "back in the day" ... and fail to see how a person partying for a year could possibly view last year as a great time to be partying when to them, the scene just seemed to be deteriorating...

I was bitter long before I ever started raving. And beign nice and talking to people on E isn't real.

However, if you're nice and talk to random people in the bathroom even when you're sober well than good for you.

Also, I think people who have partied for a long time see things in a different light. They've seen one too many people od. Or have had to watch friends go through addictions. So seeing 15-17yr olds heading down the same road gets to be annoying. For me anyway, I just got sick of hearing about/seeing all the drugs. That and the music has gone down hill.

hehe... I meant this as a positive thread because I happened to be listening to scooter the other day and it put me in a good mood. As far as people who have been at it for a long time being bitter...hmmm... (Directed at Rhianna) I agree with you to a point. I have been doing this rave thing for 10 years now. I have seen alot of bad things, friends od, kids getting sick, a general sense of highschool clique-ness that I personally don't like, some music going downhill (ie:trance not as good as it used to be). BUT on the other side of the coin, I have seen alot of good things. I personally have no problem talking to people on E and alot of times you actually get to see the real them and not a front. I don't know about you but I couldn't lie to save my life if I was on E so I kinda feel the honesty alot of times refreshing. I have also seen homophobes turn into accepting individuals after being high at a party and seeing gay lifestyles in a positive way. This accepting attitude continued on after the party, I can honestly say that E had a part to play in that. Drugs are fine as long as they are used in moderation. I don't hate drugs nor am I annoyed by someone just because they are on them and I may be sober. I personally think you are shutting yourself off from meeting alot of potentially very nice people that way. But whatever, it is your choice after all. That being said, I do disapprove of drug abuse that can be a destructive thing for family and friends as well as the user. Everything in moderation my dear. But on to other things...I think that many of the funkier beats are showing themselves now. Jungle has improved, so has D&B. There are new music types popping up all the time and it is even influencing popular culture. These are all good things.

As much as I get down on the atmosphere at most raves now I still love it. I wouldn't of been doing this thing for so long if I didn't. Even though much of the scene is attitude there are a few gems out there that stick in my mind. Venus vs Mars, Kick It!, and Tiesto at the commodor are examples when I went to a party and saw nothing but good vibes and friendly people.

But anyways, I've ranted enough...

Go listen to scooter! NOW!!! um...the Friends track ....hee hee...That's the music from the scene that I originated in...check it out for yourself!

This is just how I feel about it. I know my friends very well and they are not themselfs on E at all. It's like I'm talking to a different person. And I am not myself either which scares me. Sure I don't have a front, but that's not the real me. And it's sad that people need to be high to except others. I can't say I hate raves. If I did I wouldn't go. It's just that there are a lot of things about them that bother me.
