Doing What you Love
I've started my rehearsals for Grease and they consume a large portion of my week. I practice Monday - Thursday after school and Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch. We also have additional rehearsals sometimes on Fridays and solo singing rehearsals on Wednesdays and Fridays at lunch.
But I can honestly say that I enjoy every second I spend at rehearsals. The greatest feeling in the world is being able to do something you love and right now I'm in total bliss. We can redo a scene 100 times and every time I feel like i'm learning something new and I appreciate it more than the previous time. I really hope that everyone can fulfill their dreams and pursue a life where they do whatever it is that they love/makes them happy, it's the greatest feeling in the world. Is anyone else in a situation like this? Maybe you're working a job that involves something you really enjoy, or maybe you're performing or in a competitive sport group.. anything really. I hope I can make a career out of what i'm doing now someday :) |

Yeah, definitely go for pursuing what you love as a career. I was in Montreal studying psychology last year, but I decided that it wasn't for me, so I'm taking the year off to build a portfolio in hopes to get into art school next Fall. I've been out of touch with my artistic side for the past couple years, and I'm so much happier now that I'm getting involved again. It has been a bit frustrating worrying about getting into schools and what I'm going to do if I don't, but that'll all settle down once I'm further along the path of getting everything together.
