Jay and Marky are still around but don't throw raves anymore. Jay opened "On Deck Records and Apparel" http://www.ondeckrecords.com/ and Marky's been over on the Island quite a bit.

Eternal Empire did "Invasion Galactica" I think it was the second party ever at Plaza. That party was sick, Talla 2xlc and Tom Wax. They also did a show at the commodore the following year with Tom Wax and Jan Jacarta the following year....................where the fuck did they go?????

yeah i miss the big-time parties with scaffolding and huge sset-ups... it's gone back to the "saving money" phase.. i guess not many people appreciated the huge set-ups like stargate and frostee.. no one really watched the "images by endorphin" except me.. hahah don't get me wrong the set-ups are good now.. but i miss high rise stages and giant floating screens and 3 argons in 1 room!! oh oh.. and nothing get's me more psyched about raving than watching a sunrise!!! it's uplifting.. i just toss the lights and party some more!!

yeah it was a new years.. i think 2001.. when they hung a hummer.. a black hummer with lights or something coming out of the windows... can't really remember.. but it was cool.. and the stargate set-up was cool... i like the imf set-up but i miss being able to go up and dance on a huge platform.. and control the crowd.. i miss that
**subliminal message to prod. companies... get me to dance on a huge stage!!** hahah j/k... maybe |

The hummer hanging from the rafters was done by Twisted at Millenium. All that stuff is cool to see but it costs alot of money. Don't complain about the price of tickets if thats what u wanna see. Personally I think all that stuff takes away from the whole rave experience, it's more of a concert. I've bee to parties with one strobe and a couple track spots and had a wicked time. Good music, friends and a tight vibe make the party.

well parties.. nowadays cater to more people all the time.. hense the new venue... but the prices for tickets were a lot cheaper back then.. 25-30 bucks.. i say.. those looking for huge set-ups.. wait a little.. the scene is growing again.. and we'lll have massive massives soon.. for me i dun care... i just love controlling the crowd...
best time = dancing 2 stories up.. on scaffolding .. next to the headliner!! that was awesome! |
