Familiar Stranger
Looking deep inside you, through your portals of greyish blue
I thought I knew this man but he's not like me or you Maybe another could see through this disguise I'm affraid to look, I don't want to be hypnotised Too much to know in such little time Blamed and wronged for no appearant crime Fear what's not understood, has always been the way Defile, hurt and rape. Save your questions for another day So much to learn about all that he knows If we could see past the act that he shows What's in, not out, can be our freedom from ignorance Looking upon this creature, our minds suffer an impotence Unable to be, to see what he can tell Instead we laugh and point from our hollow shells We are no more real than what we treat like dirt Sinning for good is not the way it works I lean closer to see what I missed Frightened. The mirror shatters from my fist Now he's gone but till who knows when? With a meer reflection he can return once again |
