Treatment Update!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am posting this in the lounge because I want to share my news with EVERYONE!! :c-tard:
Today I started my 9th round of Chemotherapy. Yes 9th!! And it is possible that it could be my last – for now. Two weeks ago I had a test done to see how the Chemotherapy is working, and the test showed improvement from the last one I had, which is good news!! The Neuroblastoma is not gone yet, I am still very sick inside, but it is getting better. So what’s next?! EDMONTON!! Well possibly. There is a form of targeted radiation {MIBG Therapy} that my Doctor has thought about since she was first put on my “case” but when I was first re-diagnosed my whole body had too much cancer in it for this MIBG Therapy to work properly. So now after rounds of chemotherapy the disease is starting to get more controlled. If I get accepted {yes I have to be accepted, because it’s out of province} I will end up going to Edmonton for about 4-5 days about every 3 months {we think, could be more frequent} If I am accepted and can tolerate the MIBG Therapy I will do this for quite some time, anywhere from 1-3 years. Some fun facts: ¤ My hair will grow back after this round of Chemo!! And it’ll most likely be different the it was before {I’ve had 4 different colors of natural hair, thick, think, straight, curly so it’s all possible} ¤ The kind of cancer I have is very rare, and is typically a childhood cancer ¤ This is the 3rd time I have been diagnosed with Cancer ¤ I am the only person that I have met that has “survived” this kind of cancer – everyone else hasn’t been as lucky :( ¤ I will beat this again So this is my good exciting treatment update! * Allie Ps. Watch for me on TV soon!! Well in the new year as I am doing some TV bit’s to try to get funding for a trip to the Bahamas {to swim with dolphins} for teens and young adults with life threatening disease’s!! |

You can do it and we're right here with you! How can the people off of F & K donate to this charity of yours? Is there a minimum amount? I'm sure if we all pooled our money togethor we can raise lots! I know lots of people from Clubvibes who would do it to! Also what if we to use all the water bottles from the plaza raves like Kiss to refund and donate the money? There's gotta be $1000's of dollars in refunds there! I'd have to ask the owner for permission but I'm sure he'd do it! Last edited by AGROculture; Nov 12, 03 at 11:34 AM. |

Dave: I will talk to the lady that I heard about the trip from - I think I can get a "pledge" form and from that I think I'd collect the money and then put it towards the funding for the trip.
The best thing anyone can donate is blood. Serious, the blood banks are always needing blood. |

I think some of you are miss-reading ... I'm NOT better yet, I'm still very sick inside. But I am slowly getting better ... for example
A girl I'm in contact with was diagnosed in august with hodgkin's diease's and will be done all her treatment by feb. she could have been done by now, but he cells didn't redevelop quick enough. I think of a lot people - I used to be included - Don't realize how many different kinds of cancer there are. And how different each kind has to be handled ... and not just how many kinds, also how many stages. I was re-diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage 4. Stage 4 is the worst kind, most agressive, most dominate, and generally there is just a shit load of cancerous cells in your body. |

I don't believe we've met but so many people on Fnk have so much respect and admiration for you, and I'm sure that's all for a good reason.
I've come across quite a few of your posts, and after reading this one I'm in complete awe, I think the approach you've taken towards your recovery is something to admire and look up to. Keep it up, I hope you get accepted for the MIBG therapy, and I think that your attitude and strength will benefit you and ultimately result in you successfully beating your illness for good. |
