Hitting the slopes...
I BADLY want to hit the slopes this season, but the passes are more than I can possibly afford at this point (approx. $1600 for dual, and not THAT much cheaper for single).
Is there any way around this? Any sorts of discounts or specials that any of you know about? My friend told me about the Express pass, so I might end up doing that, but I'm hoping that you guys might have a few more suggestions. |

If you want to hit Blackcomb for 6-10 times this year then the Gold Express pass is the best deal. You are prepaying for 5 days in advance but the breakdown per day is about $45 so it is quite the deal.
Each day after the 5 days you get 20% off the lift ticket price... but you would be better off buying 2 Gold Express cards. If you really want to ski for free then learn to wake up early and hike. They only scan your ticket at the gondolas so if you can hike to the Exelerator quad chair you can ride for free. |

Exactly, the flat ski-out roads between the bowls on whistler reek havoc on boarders. Luckily im always with a couple skiers when ive been in that situation so i can be towed if i get stuck, heh.
Moral of the story is if your going riding on whistler u better be dammed sure to have a huge layer of slick wax on that board or your goign to get stuck. Blackomb is def the way to go for boaders. B//F |

Why is it that the Chateau Whistler keeps calling me every year about this time offering me a Chef de Partis position? |
