BIG dj nites

altho i haven't attended many club nites wi the huge headliners,

i would like to post one for the promoters and all for bringin in such huge talent over this year.

before, a lot of us complained about not seeing big names coming down and this year brought down REALLY REALLY big names.

not a lot of people notice it kuz it's club nites n all, or they just keep expecting more or whatever. but i've noticed a lot of nites that i should have attended but just n ever knew about the artists/producers back then.

we used to be jealous of how other places (cali, euro,e tc) had such big acts weekly... wehave quite some nice acts a few times a month.

so check'em out!
whether club or rave... they mite not come back ! haha

Shit man! I've been to a few club nights with headliners and I've had a blast. One of the biggest reason that its great is because you can drink! Woot!

Most of the headliners I've sen are dnb though. I can't see myself paying $35 to see a trance headliner. The breaks that I enjoy, those DJ's rarely ever show up. I missed Chris Carter due to work. Argh.

I totally agree...even though its been a somewhat slow-ish summer, prior to that and this fall there has been a slew of talent rolling through town. I also find I often enjoy an artist more at a club night, since I don't get as lost in the whole socializing thing as much, probably because the venues are smaller and its usually so loud then conversation is difficult in even the most far removed corner of the bar/club.

Plus drinking! Woo-hoo!

Tho I can understand how it could anoy some of the younger peeps who might feel like they are missing some of the best that are coming through...

It's so perfect big Dj's come to clubs imo.

You can get drunk, older crowd, and you're not there all night.

ya club nights are sweet. Most the big nights have been by Bensons and Hedges. Its nice to see all these huge djs for so cheap, Ive been to most the really big club nights around town for the last little while and ive never payed more then 15 buxs for a ticket.

^$15 is more than a reasonable price for a big DJ in a small club

you get what you pay for.

the only time i've had tickets for a club event over $35 was tiesto and oakenfold.

i can't remember how much armin and ferry were, but i think $30 max...

mauro, POTD etc all came here for a reasonable price. imo.

^ werd... Sasha was a doooope night!!

Clubs are the shit! way better than parties... I think dan hit it on the head when he said it's not so much socializing cuz of the volume inside and you really get to hear what the DJ has to offer. I dunno... at parties I usually end up just yappin all night

I totally LOVE club nights more than raves to see a big DJ in town...

1. At a club it's more intimate/up-close atmosphere with them and I really like that setting compared to a massive rave

2. Personally I'm usually sober or even after drinking I can still dance my ass off more than at a rave and appreciate the music more where at a rave I wouldn't really know cause I would be high

To end...Club nights RULE and to ph1 and all those that bring out Dj's keep up the good work! :c-tard:

I'm so engrossed in the club scene that I can barely handle going to raves anymore.

We've had a killer year in Vancouver and it's only going to be better next year.
