places to go for dessert.

i'm going through one of my nights where i need to go out and get some good dessert. anybody have any good suggestions of places to go within the city?

usually i go to either true confections or trafalgar. both have some really good selections. i tend to stay away from death by chocolate cause I'M A FORMER EMPLOYEE AND I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WORKING THERE . mmm, cake where i work is deelish too (plug: triggiano's on the corner of homer and davie), but i like to stay away from work when i'm not working. i know some of you are going to suggest cheesecake etc. on granville but i'm not a cheesecake fan at ALL.

where do you guys go to satisfy your sweet tooth?

Yum, True Confections, Trafalgar and Death By Chocolate are all super-yummy!

Bin 942 (and Bin 941, for that matter) is pretty good...its a tapas place, but it has some nice desserts, too.

I went to The Libra Room on Commercial Drive once and had fabulous tiramisu. Apparently their carrot cake is also super good.

man, chocolate buffet sounds like a good idea, but i know that it's one of those things that i would end up not liking in the end. not so much that i would regret eating so much chocolate and feel guilty for it, cause i don't really care too much about that kinda stuff, but moreso because i don't like buffets/all-you-can-eat joints in general. i just find that they kind of take away from the purpose of eating. you end up wanting to get your moneys worth and you overeat and end up feeling like DEATH. i'd rather pay the same amount for less and actually enjoy it and feel good walking away from the table.

oh yeah, i ended up going to trafalgers...their dessert joint is called sweet obsession. had a lime raspberry tart. SO freaking good.
