OKAY so here is the good deed plan...
i feel like im on the naughty list this year..especially this time of the year..so i REALLY need to do something to give back to the community/less fortunate..ANYTHING, so i can be on the nice list before xmas. hmm...so out of my own good heart i want to do something to make myself feel like a good person and help out..
hmm im more than happy to opening up my house and food supply for a sandwich making fest with a few ppl and ill drive us all out to downtown van to hand out food..(not sure if they will be overwhelmed by food this time of year) (we can do bags of essential need products in gift bags too...along the lines) host a night somewhere for a can food/toy/clothing drive.. somethng like last years tribeca get together. or any other ideas. if there aren't too many ppl who want to help id prob do the sandwich thing.. if there are tons of naughty list ppl who want to make it on the good list.. im willing to put some time to arrange something a tad larger scale. and NO im not throwing a rararave. after the 5th or so i have more time to arrange something.. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! feed back?!! Last edited by bebu*funfun; Nov 25, 03 at 02:13 PM. |

my friends and i did the sandwich thing a few years back and it definately made us feel better knownin that we helped a few people.
the canned food/clothes/toy drive is an even better idea but that of course would take a lil more plannin. i'll be willin to help out if this thing's gonna go off and i'll get a few of my friends to help in as well. |

Went to Atlantis one time...parked my car in that shady gravel parking lot right across the street...go to the parking machine, no change, needed change. Drr can't remember exactly but this shady black guy on a raggedy bike pulls up and gives me a ticket or change but all I know is he offered to "watch" my car and he somehow ended up owing me alot ($8+) of change. I felt really scared about leaving my car there, but whatever. I come back @ 2ish, and well to my surprise my car is fine AND the dude is still there, "watching" my (and undoutedly other ppl's) car('s). After inspecting the car, I go up to him to ask for the $8+ in change he owes me, but he hands me a toonie saying "I got's no more man sorry". W/e, I was scared that if I made a fuss about it he would whip out his knife or gun or whatever so I just left. SHADY!!!!! drrr EDIT: Hey mind if I tag along and help the needy this x-mas season? The christmas bureau always need volunteers.. If this doesn't go through there are many organizations that you can give a hand to during this time of the year.
When I was in highshcool I helped (along with a bunch of others) at the burnaby christmas bureau.. they take care of pretty much all of the things that you've listed. They hand out free gifts to families who can't afford them for their children.. Donations are always helpful so another way to contribute would be to drop by the christmas bureau and drop off a toy or two. |

"Dood, there's no 5$ in my hand, there's gonna be shit happenin to your car..." and that's when the rave stomping began as for volunteering, even if you're not 19, Big Brothers and Sisters are always looking for people to help with fundraising. If you can spare the time, an hour or two every week volunteering at the food bank really makes a difference. Shoveling the elderly's driveways and walkways free of snow. Help your parents/grandparents with things around the house, cook dinner, vacumme, clean the windows, dishes etc, if you live at home, the christmas season is stressfull enough as it is without worrying about home stuff. There's so many causes to champion, don't forget about family, siblings, and the people close to you too. 'tis the season. benedictions |
