How to stop stealing shit at parties?
search people on the way out :)
next time something gets reported stolen at a party, start searching people as they leave. Maybe you'll find what was stolen, maybe you won't. I'd be a bit of an inconvienience I'm sure, so maybe if its actually done, it'll make kids a bit less likely to steal shit, cos they know their friends will rip on them for getting everyone searched on the way out. just a thought. |

ive never had anything of mine stolen at a party before and its probably because i usually just use the bagcheck... i mean its better safe than sorry, especially if you have something of value in your bag
i used to (when i first started partying) bring only cash with me and leave my wallet at home |

Its a good idea but I also think at the same time its a bit oh a hassle. When people want to leave the party, they dont want people searching them again, also I dont think security guards want to touch some sketchy ravers sweaty body.. heheheh

the security at most parties is useless
the security at 'fight' was pathetic and the guy was a jerk they could search people on the way out but most likely the people would have a plan for sneaking through them. security at parties is funny they never really feel very in charge so its easy for people random people to just tell them how it is and walk on by |

When a DJ is up for his set/slot have one or two spotters (that he/she trusts hopefully & who are clear) watching his/her gear e.g. records & other equipment. At anytime a DJ is not playing they should keep their gear/vinyl in a safe separate location backstage in either a lockbox or storage locker in a place inaccessable by general party-goers. It's a headache but would save a lot of frustration in the longrun. Yeah, doing all this might derail some of the vibe you feel of the party but nothing ruins a vibe more than having your shit taken. :finger: <----to all thieves everywhere. :shades1:Fin |

the only thing i think that can stop most of the stealing is for peopel to be resonsible and either keep their stuff on them, watch it, leave as much useless shit at home as possible etc... You cant blame thieves you can only blame yourself for leaving it unattended. Obviously there are certain cases where it might be that simple but if everybody was just smart about their own stuff "most" of stealing will be gone.

stop having like a hundred guys on the stage while he's playing. the thief could very well be a friend of your's that you'll never suspect. then, leave the bag behind the dj or somehwere where the least amt of people partying in the front have access to. i swear, i could have even taken off with the Mic. haha |
