there are some really good vintage stores downtown.. theres this one right off hastings on cambie i think.. not 100% sure.. i stumbled across it one day when i was gallery hopping and its killer in there. cheap good clothes in one half of the store then they have remakes on the other side that are pretty pricey.
value village in coquitlam is the best ive seen. most other villages dont ahve the same quality. value vintage used to be cheap then everyone found out about it and they jacked their prices. theres a little store in port moody on st. johns thats pretty good. |

I agree with whoever said winners. You have to spend some time going through racks of crap, but I have found so much good stuff for dirt cheap there.
If you're into vintage, there's a relatively cheap place I go to a lot. It's on Cambie, between Hastings and Cordova, down the stairs under Venus and Mars. It's called Swing. You have to dig there, also, but there is good finds. Also, the lady who runs it is super-nice and fun...she's always pulling things out from the back "oh, i was thinking this would be perfect for you" and she has done repairs and alterations for me for dirt cheap and sometimes free. You should see some of the stuff I have gotten out of there with! hm...for basics, like tanks and tees, Army & Navy can be good...that one's hit or miss though, a lot of their stuff is crap. That's all I can think of right now. |
