94.5 Toy & Food Drive - This Friday! Anyone donating?

"The Beat Cares 2003
Friday December 12, 2003

On Friday December 12th, The Beat 94.5 FM will host its second annual - The Beat Cares Holiday Food and Toy Drive .

Beginning at 7:00am, everyone at The Beat will be on hand at the entrance of the Plaza of Nations. As you make your way into the city that Friday, simply stop by to make your contribution of a new unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item and be entertained by our live DJ’s, dancers and MC’s. We won't stop until the the Plaza is filled!!!

Join us at the Plaza between 4-8pm and receive free admission to Rythmic Roots with the donation of a non-perishable food item.

Be sure to come by and help us make this Holiday Season a little more special for families in our community."

I'm going and I'm bringing with me a monster truck and a carebear (funshine bear :))

For sure :) I try to choose a couple, that's all I can afford unfortunately. The way I see it, anything is something and every little bit counts.

Its not the radio station that you are donating to, its the cause they are supporting ~ so who cares what kind of music they play? If they play something I don't like I'd still donate. And, I as well, will be donating food at Miracle on Seymour street.

I will be donating lots of goodies to the fnk drive as well, can I bring toys?? I was under the impression it was only food and/or money, so therefore I wanted to give some kiddies toys and opted to go with this charity.

I'm gonna head down to the Beat drive today....I have a few toys kicking around that have never been opened, and I'll pick up some canned food =)
