McDonalds meat patties are actually 80% mealworm. That's right! It saves them money to feed one pound of beef to 5 pounds of mealworms, and then chop up the mealworms, which would then taste just like the beef they ate. This is a great stratagy, because it's a proven fact that mealworms digest fat so you don't have to! Also, mealworms are less greasy when fried. This is totally legal too.

I don't believe the mealworm thing either. Sounds like a urban legend. Do you have a reliable source for this, or do you just expect everyone to believe you because you typed it?
I've heard the 100% Beef one too, but don't know that its true. According to McDonald's, they use "100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders." The USDA doesn't consider mealworms to be beef either. |
