Boxing Day Shopping.....
So whos all going out on boxing day for some mad mad shopping?
I know a couple of you are working on that day, but what about everyone else? Or are you just going to call it a day and stay home and sleep in? |

Damn, still contemplating on whether or not I want to give in to the craziness. I always try to avoid it, but last year I wanted to give it a try, and it was hell. Massive line-ups, people scurrying around EVERYWHERE, driving around forever to find parking...the sales ARE great, but just not sure if it's even worth dealing with.

i went and battled the madness last year and didn't find many great deals. most of the only real "deals" are the ones you have to be one of the first 10 people in the store to get. the others are just dropping the prices back down to normal after the holiday price spikes. or clearing out for spring clothes.

im heading out, the deals arent anything to special, but if your in the market for something you might aswell buy it then, ten percent off is the taxes so whynot save a bit, and hwo knows maybee youll fine something crazy behind a big stack of boxes right.

I work from 11-9:30, but Richmond Centre is open from 9:30 - 9:00
Our Boxing Day sale is going to be MAD this year! Seriously people, if you're going shopping, especially on Robson or at Metrotown, Off the Wall will be more than worth the wait! I suggest getting there EARLY though...last year our line in Richmond Centre was all the way to the food court! |

no boxing day shopping for me theres no point. Most stores start their sales before boxing day anyways. The only difference is on boxing day they bring out old trash and sell them for cheap. Obviously theres the exception of a few stores that actually have a decent boxing day sale with decent stuff.

hey that's cool you work @ off the wall. My good friend works there (Lougheed). He got employee of the year at the off the wall annual christmas party a few weeks back. I'm working on Boxing Day. I went last year, and I started lining up @ AnB sound around 6:30am, and I started from around the block already! I didn't get in until 9:30ish. My sisters boyfriend stayed overnight with his friends, and they were the 20th~ people in the store, and snapped up some insane deals. My suggestion, is to only go Boxing Day shopping if you know what you wanna get and where you wanna get it, and you're willing to go early to line up and such. Boxing Day is a horrible day to "browse around". |

I went Boxing Day shopping last year at Metro but couldn't really find anything, didn't feel like waiting in all those lines, too many pushy people, and the stuff wasn't THAT cheap.
O well, this year I'm tryin downtown w/ my gf! Hehe...I don't think I'll really find anything but whatever. Never been downtown on Boxing Day b4... |
