my oma died this morning at 6am

people if you havent talk to your grandparents much, make sure you do.....they are so full of knowledge it isnt funny. dont let it go to waste.

I had to rush my dachshund, Patirck, to the emergency vet hospital on Christmas morning. Turns out he has an enlarged heart. Nothing we can do about it. She told us that eventually his organs will start to shut down. Fuck, he's only 1 1/2 yrs old. She also said that he was prob born that way. And if he was born with that defect.......has the "eventually" began?

Don't know what I'm gonna do. Wish I had a website, I would post his pic.

I feel helpless.

my dog is about 5 years old, she has an enlarged heart and is on blood pressure pills and shes fine.... shes gotten all her energy back and is completely normal again.... maybe its different for different types of dogs.

but to the origional post... my deepest wishes of happiness to you. take care and try to remember with a smile rather then sadness.

even though i don't know you, i'm sorry to hear ur loss.

it's true that u should spend more time with ur grandparents... EVEN ur parents, cuz my mom passed away 2 weeks before my 9th b-day [and my b-day is in Dec]...

so i hope that all of you do take time to share things with ur family cuz u never know what might happen to them... sorry once again for ur loss *hugz*

i'm not sure about an enlarged heart, but there are things you can do to help them. sometimes you can help them live longer, sometimes it's just helping them live what life they have a little bit happier. just be prepared to shell out a bit of cash for vet bills. :\

mojo, sorry to hear about your oma :( it's always hard losing a family member..

i lost my grandpa a few years back to a really bad stroke, but no one in my family would let me see him during his last year since he was in the hospital. i've been bitter about it ever since..
