MrAttila-u make me feel old :toasted: . You'd call the info line and you'd meet them at a skytrain station, they'd take you to the party and drop u off at the skytrain again afterwards. Sort of a limo for the raving folk.....

:keebler: - so true...

probably one of the best parts of the party was the bus cauz you were getting shuttled off from a skytrain station to god knows where - it you didn't give a shit cuz it was an adventure... and you met so many more people on the bus before the party, the vibe was almost always wicked... just made things a little more exciting in general - kinda hard to pull off nowadays though since the entire point was to keep people from driving to the warehouses and bringing the cops with em (although i don't really see how the big yellow buses full of ravers kept em away!?)

dude, you just called me a hippy and you best take it back

JK - but seriously though, you want hippies go to a goa trance party  - ravers were just ravers then too.

fortunately for me I dropped out of the scene for a while when happy hardcore became popular round these parts...

of course from the other thread your first party was a large happy hardcore one in europe wasn't it?

this is simply my ever so modest musical opinion, but there is everything wrong about happy hardcore... but this thread is not about happy hardcore, it is a happy thread about happy yellow buses - so talk about those or start a thread in the music section about how much you love happy hardcore - not here.

maybe we should rent a bus Bryan and have our own rave. We can even dress up like pirates (pbreak)

yeah, the adventure was the best part, you had no idea where you were actually going. Then i remember when i got a car and followed the yellow school buses to the party along with like 10 others cars of ravers.........

I rememeber those buses during the summer. I remember bringing my blanket from home to the rave and on the bus i slept with it wrapped around me.

Best thing was at the party in the morning becauise it was in chilliwack fuck it was cold, damn glad i had that blanket in the morning :)

good fun ol' days

You see, i guess you need a sense of adventure... besides, in those days i didn't have a car so all one had to look forward to was getting back to transit anyway. And I think I only ever took a shuttle bus once or twice to riverside - the rest of em were to actual warehouses in burnaby - and it's not like you were on them for more than 20 min or so... coaches are too much money and too high class- you just don't feel like you can get rowdy on them, these were underground parties you were going to and the buses just helped em feel that much more underground... maybe im just a skid.

LOL I remember the rave bus I took one out to sunkissed and yes I was listening to happy hardcore hahaha oh god.
But it was fun at the time actualy meeting a lot of people before you were fucked up that night. But now I drive so I have no need to wait for a bus in the cold. But it was good while it lasted and I think it's still a good idea in the summer for those who can't drive.
good times.
